Appointments at the Practice
As we enter the winter period we are expecting a high level of viral illnesses amongst the community. Therefore from Monday 1st November 2021 we are moving back to a 'same day' service which will enable us to better manage the urgent needs of patients as well as allowing us to be more resilient to staff sickness.
Routine problems will still be dealt with, as long as there is capacity on the day to offer this. If there is no capacity, you will be asked to call back the following day. We would ask our patients to contact us as early as possible, with our phone lines opening at 8am. Please be aware that our admin team will ask questions, this is so the GP can obtain some background of your problem before calling you.
Your medical concern will be triaged by a clinician who will contact you via telephone initially. Should they feel you require examination they may then arrange a video consultation or a face to face appointment. In some instances, dependant on your symptoms the clinician may examine you in our Examination Pod which provides direct flow of fresh air.
